Perfect Pair of Pigtails

I love Ainsley's pigtails. They could not be more perfect. Her hair immediately falls into one perfectly formed ringlet when pulled up into a pigtail.

Dallas Blooms

We went to the Dallas Arboretum today for the last day of Dallas Blooms. Many of the tulips have started to lose their petals, but the azaleas were absolutely beautiful.





























On the way to the exit, someone fell asleep and drew a lot of comments from other visitors at the Arboretum.

Happy Easter!

We have had an exhausting day! Amelia ran a high fever last night thanks to her ear infections (she is getting tubes on Wednesday). So she was tired from the getgo this morning. The girls quickly picked through their Easter baskets before we headed to church. After church we went to Dustin's parents for lunch and Ainsley hunted for eggs in the front yard. She's a funny girl. She's very serious about hunting eggs. I know she enjoys it, but she had a serious look on her face the entire time. She posed for me once she was done. The girls were exhausted and both passed out on the way home.

Ainsley took a 4 hour nap without falling out of bed, but tonight when I checked on her before going to bed this is what I found...

Easter Eggs!

Ainsley and I dyed Easter Eggs together. I'm so glad I stripped her down because just as we were finishing up she went to rest her hand on the counter and stuck it straight in the green dye spilling the entire cup of dye down her front.

Big Girl Bed...Or Maybe Not.

I put Ainsley's bed rails together today with the hopes they would fit on her crib once it was converted to a toddler bed which unlike most toddler beds doesn't come with a side rail piece. So I put the rails on her twin bed instead. She refused to nap there and instead got in the toddler bed with no protection to prevent her from rolling out. So far so I've heard no thuds over the baby monitor, but I padded the floor just in case. Tonight might be interesting.

A friday night photo shoot is generally not a good idea.

Easter Egg Hunts

The girls' Easter Egg Hunts at school were this morning. Just as Amelia's was to begin, it started raining so the eggs were quickly scooped up by teachers and the kids hunted their eggs in the classroom. The rain stopped just in time and just long enough for Ainsley's class to hunt outside, however it was very windy!
