Ainsley's first half birthday!

Ainsley is 6 months old today! We are both amazed at how much she is changing right before our eyes. She is working so hard on sitting on her own right now and does great with a little assistance. She's rolling all over the place and loves her toys. She loves to eat and hasn't turned her nose up to a thing she's tried so far. Hopefully this means she won't be a picky eater like her mother! Tomorrow we go for her 6 month appointment and hoping her weight is still on track.

She had a rough day, but we still managed to get a few good 6 month shots of her. Last month she was mostly interested in waiving around her 5 month old sign. This month she was mostly interested in eating it.

Fruit!!!

Ainsley had her first fruit yesterday...Pears (made with love by Nana)! I think how clean she is after finishing them says just how much she loved them.

Happy Birthday Maddie and Christi!

Ainsley went to her first birthday party yesterday (as a party goer that is). We went to Maddie's birthday party at the Wiggly Play Center. I think the mass of people there was a bit overwhelming for her, but we did find a few minutes to let her roll around on the floor and have some fun while I shielded her from stumbling toddlers. Maddie turned 2 on Thursday. Maddies's mommy Christi's birthday was on Saturday (the day of the party). I'm not sure if she wants me stating her age, but I will say she is not 30 yet. Saturday night Dustin and I left Ainsley with his parents and we went to a hockey game to celebrate Christi's birthday.

Happy Birthday Maddie and Christi!

As promised...Ainsley in the snow

Not the best, but maybe the morning will be a bit better. Unfortunately Dustin will be gone before she gets up, so there will be no one to hold her while the other takes the picture just like this afternoon! The heavy snow finally passed and we went outside very quickly while it was lightly snowing. Even though you can't see the falling snow in the last picture, she was watching it closely.

Second Snow

Her second snow is coming down as we speak. It's been snowing here in Plano for over three hours. The snow flakes are what my friend called "good midwestern sized snowflakes." She's from St. Louis and dating a guy from Iowa, so I guess she would know more about snow than me. Today it has snowed three times more than it did Tuesday, unfortunately it rained for several hours first, so its not quite as pretty. I'll try to get Ainsley outdoors for a photo op before the sun goes down today and in the morning if its still here. Here is my car after only being out of the house for 45 minutes, the back of our house and pictures of my neighbor's tulips.

First Snow

Ainsley's first snow was on Tuesday, but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of her outside. These will have to suffice...a picture of the snow and a picture of her bundled up about to leave for the daycare the next morning.

Gotcha by the tail!

Ainsley discovered Charlie's tail this weekend and took interest in it anytime he was near her. Charlie's a sweet dog and other than appearing a tad bit annoyed, he just dealt with it. I think Gabe might be happy for the first time in his life that he doesn't have a tail.

Nana and Papaw also came to visit this weekend!

Who loves feet?

Ainsley does! I cannot imagine she inherited this trait from me...okay, so maybe she did. At least she isn't sleeping with her legs behind her head...yet.

We've had a great weekend. Dustin turned the big 2-9 yesterday and Uncle Patrick stayed with Ainsley so Dustin and I could have our first date night since Ainsley was born. It was great to have a night out, but not surprisingly we found ourselves talking about her over dinner and checking the time on Dustin's watch throughout the movie.

She's turned into the quite the roller. I still haven't caught it on video yet, but I promise I will sometime this week and post it.

Happy V-Day!

Ainsley finally decided to give rolling over from tummy to back a try again this morning and figured it out. She then quickly realized that she could get from point A to point B this way and headed straight for the television. Unfortunately we had to get out the door for daycare and work, so she didn't have much time to play with her new skill. I'm sure this evening will be fun! At least now we won't have to run flip her over every time she gets tired of being on her tummy. I tried to get her on the video camera, but the battery died as soon as I tried!

Her weight check went great yesterday. She is now at 13 lbs 3.5 oz and back on track!

We hope you have a wonderful day!

5 Months!

Ainsley was 5 months old yesterday! It is so hard to believe every time another month has passed. She has been doing great since her surgery. Eating lots and slowly putting on some weight. We go to her pediatrician on Wednesday for a weight check and are hoping she is back on track. She rolls over all the time now, but has yet to figure out how to get back over to her back. Her personality comes out more and more each week. We are truly blessed to have her! Here are some pictures of her yesterday morning to mark 5 months!
