Water Baby

Sorry for the low quality of the pictures. Getting a picture in an indoor pool is evidently a job for a professional.

Ainsley is really loving the water. She's totally relaxed when on her back. We've already started putting her completely under water and it doesn't phase her at all. Dustin thinks she will be ready for the 2024 Olympics. Next week is the last week of class. Hopefully we can get some better pictures.

Holdin' Her Own

Ainsley has been a bit, well, lazy. She's flat out refused to hold her bottle until recently. We finally had to perform a bit of tough love and hold her bottle in front of her until she grabbed it and fed herself. It didn't bother us too much until we tried introducing her to a sippy cup and she just played with the sippy cup instead of trying to drink from it. After a bit of screaming, she will now hold her own bottle. Today we let her try drinking her bottle on the ground and once she'd knocked it all back, she tried a million different positions thinking she just might get some more out of it. Needless to say, none of them worked, despite her efforts.

Dancing and Dogs

I need to start using the video camera more, especially now that Ainsley is more active. She loves to dance anytime she hears music and she loves looking out the window, especially when the dogs are outside. Here are clips of both.

Baby Bird!

Non-Aggies may not get the significance of this or why its blog worthy, but it is. Ainsley went to Freebirds for the first time today...and all she got were some Cheerios. It's okay, she likes Cheerios a lot (almost as much as her friend Isabel did at the same age). She will have a Freebirds burrito one day when she's older.

She was just so excited over the whole ordeal, she tried taking a nap at the table.

On a side note, Ainsley had a 5 day pukey bug (and I had it for 2 days) so we've postponed swim lessons. We will be starting a week from Monday instead. I'm certain pictures will follow shortly after.

10 Months!

10 months today. No big news or update as there are no 10 month doctor appointments. She's changing constantly. We start swim lessons next week! She loves the water, but I have a feeling she will prefer her warm bath water over a cold pool. We will see.

Mama Said Knock You Out

Well, to be exact, mama knocked Ainsley out. I went outside to turn the grill on and when I came back inside Ainsley had planted herself right inside the back door. I had no clue she was there and while I didn't kick the door open, I didn't exactly open it gently either. All I saw was her fall backward and start screaming. I scooped her up and loved on her till she calmed down, then I took a look at her. Somehow she escaped with no bruises, bumps, cuts or scrapes. She did however end up with a bloody nose. Bad mommy! Now before you run and call CPS on me, look at that smile on her face (and notice the top two teeth while you are at it)!

New Toy

We bought Ainsley a new toy today so she'd have something she could try to walk behind. She'll try a few steps if we stand her up, but right now she's more interested in the cool things to play with on the front side. She also likes sitting on it and letting us push her around.

Behind

Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. Work and life have been a bit crazy. Here are some pictures from the last week and a half. Presley and her mommy came over last week. They were happy for about 30 seconds, then I think Ainsley realized Presley was sitting in her toy (not that she sits in it much anymore) and Presley wanted Ainsley out of her personal space. She also tried mixed veggies for the first time. She swallowed them all except the green beans which she gnawed on and then spit out when she was done. She's really getting the hang of finger foods now. 5 teeth makes chewing pretty easy. And the last picture is her trying to figure out how to move her feet with sandals on.

Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures

When your child is working on 5 teeth at once, you will do or let them do anything to make them happy...and I mean anything. She may not look happy, but trust me, if you'd seen or heard her about 15 minutes earlier, you would realize just how happy she was. And if you are wondering, yes, it was a bath night.

Sorry to bore you with more vacation pictures, but I got my mom's pictures in the mail today and her's are much better than mine.
